Spock's Story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Spock is living proof that every dog deserves a second chance. After being rescued from the euthanasia
list, this handsome 6-year-old, medium size 45-pound pup has embraced the good life and is now
searching for the one thing he's never had....a forever family.
If Spock were a person, he'd be the quiet, thoughtful friend who's happy just being by your side. He's not
the life of the party, but he's the one who's always there. Whether it's grabbing lunch at a dog-friendly patio,
strolling by the water, or curling up on the couch after a long day, Spock is happiest simply spending time
with his people. His favorite outings are leisurely "sniffy walks" where he can investigate every tree,
mailbox, and light post. He's much more interested in exploring the world than racking up miles!
In his foster home, Spock has been an absolute gentleman. He doesn't chew, get into the trash, or counter
surf, and he's not a barker. He's perfectly content relaxing while you work from home, hanging out on the
deck, or quietly watching the world go by. He's also comfortable spending time on his own when his
people are away. While the crate isn't his favorite place, he's learning that it's not so bad and continues to
make great progress. Spock may be good with dogs and cats with slow introductions as he does not show a high-pray drive but has not been tested.

Maryland Animal Rescue Foundation (MARF)'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are interviewed to ensure a good home will be provided for the dog. Veterinarians and references are contacted and home checks (typically virtually) are performed. We require homes to provide proper vet care and meet all of the needs of the dog. In addition, we make sure the dog is the right fit for the adopter as sometimes the dog they want may not be the right fit for their home and family.
