Spirit's Story

Take me home TODAY!<br/>My name is Spirit, and I was brought in as a stray from Hwy 508 in Onalaska. Sadly, no one claimed me, so I am now available for adoption! I am assumed to be a Pit Lab mix weighing roughly 70lbs. I am one of the older residents of the shelter, estimated to be around 7-8 years old. You would never guess my age if you didn't already know me. Though I am the oldest resident, I am also one of the more energetic and spritely of most the other dogs here. I still have tons of energy and show no signs of slowing down! Due to being a stray much of my past is unknown. I will require training to master my basic commands. It is unknown how I react to other animals. I do not seem too fond of the other dogs here at the shelter, but I have potential making friends with a slow introduction and a calm environment to get used to a friend. I would do best in a home with no cats. I love attention and would do great with a family! I might knock over young kiddos on accident with excitement, but I would love kids to play with. Given time and slow introductions I will make a great addition to a family! I am already microchipped, vaccinated and neutered, ready to meet my forever family!
