Her personality is as soft and kind as they come.<br/><br/>Spike can be a little shy when she first encounters new places or people, so she’ll need a patient and understanding adopter who can give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe. Once she settles in, her loving nature truly shines.<br/><br/>She would thrive in a home with another confident dog companion who can help show her the ropes and boost her confidence. Spike does well with respectful children and would make a wonderful addition to a calm, caring family.<br/><br/>This smart girl has done great with potty training and has had no accidents in the house. She enjoys her daily walks and loves spending time lounging or exploring in her foster home’s backyard.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who just needs a little time to blossom, Spike may be the perfect match for you. Adopters must be committed to meeting the dog in the area it is being fostered.<br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting or meeting this dog or any other of HGA's dogs, please fill out an online application found here: https://www.heartlandgreyhoundadoption.org/adoption-application/<br/>We do not do meetings for dogs without an approved application.<br/><br/>The adoption fee for an HGA dog is $300.00. This fee pays for medical costs including spay/neuter surgery, shots, parasite treatments, teeth cleaning, microchip and microchip registration fee. Each dog also comes with a special sighthound collar and leash set and muzzle. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee.
