Spike's Story
Spike is estimated to be around 1 year old, he has already been through more than any dog should.

He came to us on dog control after spending about a week out in the middle of nowhere (Tug Hill), surviving all on his own, and had to finally be live trapped to get him to safety, as he had a face full of porcupine quills.

When he arrived, he was much too skinny, but thankfully he is gaining weight fast and starting to look like a happy, healthy boy.

What he needs now is a home of his very own.

Unfortunately, he does not seem to do well with other cats and dogs, so he will need to be the one and only pet in the home. But for the right person, he will be more than enough.

We do believe Spike was dumped, and has probably never had a family that gave him the love, patience, or security he deserves.

After everything he has been through, we would love nothing more than to see this boy get a fresh start with a loving family.
