🩵 Spike Has Survived. Now He Deserves to Live. 🩵<br/><br/>At just about a year old, Spike has already faced more hardship than most dogs ever should.<br/><br/>He was found alone on Tug Hill, surviving for nearly a week in the wilderness. Hungry. Scared. Injured. His face was full of porcupine quills, and he was so frightened that he couldn't be caught by hand. It took a live trap to finally bring him to safety.<br/><br/>When Spike arrived at the shelter, he was painfully thin. But with good food, kind hands, and lots of love, he bounced back quickly. In fact... he may have enjoyed the groceries a little too much. 😉 He's gone from skinny to just a little delightfully chunky, and seeing him happy has been one of our greatest joys.<br/><br/>Now there's just one thing missing...<br/><br/>A family.<br/><br/>We believe Spike was likely dumped. We don't know if he's ever known what it's like to belong to someone who loved him unconditionally. Someone who made him feel safe. Someone who promised they weren't going anywhere.<br/><br/>Because of his past, Spike would do best as the only pet in the home. He doesn't seem to enjoy sharing his people with other dogs or cats--and honestly, after surviving everything he has, maybe he just wants someone all to himself.<br/><br/>And that's okay.<br/><br/>The right person won't see that as a flaw.
