Spike's Story

Are you looking for a small friend to just hang out? If so, Spike may be the match for you. This 6.5 pound 7-year-old little guy is reaching a time in his life where a perfect day consist of being adored in a quiet space where he can spend his time lounging (preferably with a doggy heating pad), letting time pass. He personally feels this makes him a great low maintenance housemate.

His foster family has multiple dogs and while he tolerates them, he will do best in a household with no dogs or small dogs that have the same independent life goals (sleeping and eating). He walks on a leash and will go outside for potty breaks, but also uses a pee pad.

He has had a rough journey and doesn't trust easily so he needs a sanctuary with someone willing to take the long path of friendship. He's coming around with his foster family so we know he can do it, but he would really prefer an adult only home to call his own. Is your home the perfect paradise for Spike?
