Spencer's Story
Meet Spencer, the dog that's everyone's best friend!

At just 1 year old and 54 pounds, this handsome White Shepherd mix has already spent six months waiting for his turn. And if there is one thing you notice right away, it is how easy he makes everything feel. Spencer is the kind of dog who settles into your life like he has always belonged there.

He is friendly, gentle, and truly loves being around people, including kids. Spencer connects with everyone he meets, winning them over with his soft eyes and that sweet little grin of his. He is wonderful on the leash, the kind of dog who turns a simple walk into something you genuinely look forward to.

Spencer also loves other dogs and enjoys playtime! He has a way of adjusting to different play styles, being rough and rowdy or calm and polite. But there is a bittersweet pattern we see again and again. Every time Spencer makes a new dog friend at the shelter, that friend gets adopted... and Spencer is left behind waiting.

He recently got a two week break in a foster home, and he was everything you could hope for and more. No potty accidents, no need for a crate, no chaos. Just an easygoing and well mannered dog who settled in quickly. He enjoyed playing fetch, relaxed around the house, and soaked up every bit of love he could get. Car rides are still a little new for him, but he is learning quickly. Once he arrives, he is all in and happy to be part of whatever you are doing.

Spencer is not a good fit for a home with cats, but with people and other dogs, he absolutely shines.

He has spent the last six months watching other dogs find their families. Now it's his turn for the good part. A home, a family, and a life where he gets to be someone's loyal sidekick. πΎπΎπ
