Sparkle's Story
Meet Sparkle! When we met Sparkle she was a scared piece of dust living under a truck in a construction yard she settled in to. She was just a puppy thrown out to defend herself. She did a pretty good job of that taking refuge off the street. When we noticed her she was out foraging for food and so we began to bring her a meal twice a day. Within just a few days she was looking forward to her meals on wheels and wagging her tail. She even began to recognize the sound of our car and began to jump in it. It was then when we knew rescue was imminent.
Just weeks later Sparkle lives up to her name. She has become the happy dog she should have always been. She plays and jumps although she is learning that jumping isn't allowed. She is learning quickly and just like any young dog she needs to be redirected and receive hands-on daily training. One thing Sparkle does not like is the leash. It is obvious she has never been on one and sees it as a threat to her freedom SO this is a priority we are working on. Sparkle loves to be around other dogs. She is crate trained and learned very quickly not to have accidents in the house. Currently Sparkle has not been around cats but she is young and can be trained to understand dog-appropriate behavior with a cat. She has also not been with children but she is so friendly other than jumping we don't anticipate an issue.
Sparkle has been spayed and is up to date on shots and ready for a home. This is the perfect time to bring this cutie into your life. Please email us at haltrescue@gmail.com Her adoption fee is $250 which helps us to continue rescuing and helping the animals in need.
