Spanky's Story

Spanky is a Xolo/Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix puppy with a huge personality in a tiny body. Born on 3/20/25, he weighs around 5 lbs and is not expected to grow much more. And yes, his adorable little tongue stays out all the time, which only adds to his charm!

Spanky is very affectionate and loves being held or cuddled in your lap. He enjoys playing with other small dogs, loves toys, and is extremely food motivated—mealtime is his favorite time of day!

He is currently working on crate training and house training. Because of his tiny size, Spanky needs to go outside frequently. He potties every time he’s taken out, but he simply can’t hold it for long due to his age and size and will need continued consistency and patience as he grows.

Due to his small size, we are not considering homes with dogs over 15 lbs. Spanky would do best in a home ready to provide lots of love, cuddles, frequent potty breaks, and ongoing training. Spanky is not yet comfortable on a leash, so he will need someone committed to working with him on that and likely providing a puppy pen outside for potty breaks if there is no fenced yard available.

To adopt this little nugget, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
His adoption fee is $500, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, heartworm testing, and deworming.
