What is Shep's Place Senior Dog Sanctuary’s adoption process?

As a Sanctuary, our dogs are welcome to stay forever. But if a person or family comes along that is a good fit, and we believe that the dog would be better off with them, then we are certainly open to adopting them out. We require that a potential adopter fill out an application, meet the dog at our facility, and submit to a home visit. If that goes well, there is a two-week trial foster period, which either side can cancel. Hopefully at the end, our dog will be happy in its new home!

Sox is good with other dogs. It is not known if Sox is good with cats.
