SOX's Story

Meet Sox — YOUR DAILY DOSE OF WIGGLES Sox is a young, spayed pit bull mix with a BIG personality and even bigger wiggles. Talk to her? Wiggle. Look at her? Wiggle. Give her attention? Full-body wiggle! She’s basically a walking celebration. Sox is easy to leash and starts out with some enthusiastic “let’s GOOOO!” energy, but she settles nicely once she gets moving. On her Doggy Day Out, she explored Albuquerque with enthusiasm and confidence, walking through parks and along city sidewalks, visiting two coffee shops, and meeting plenty of new people. She was friendly, polite, and easygoing throughout. Sox was particularly interested in sniffing, exploring, and taking in the world around her. She walked nicely on leash, with very little pulling after the initial excitement. At the coffee shop, she calmly stood beside her person while they ordered and later settled quietly while they enjoyed a drink. She welcomed attention from people who wanted to meet her, happily wagging her tail and offering kisses. She also had several friendly encounters with other dogs. Sox was loose, relaxed, and wagging, and she even had a brief nose-to-nose greeting with a very friendly dog. Back at the house, Sox explored everything, enjoyed the yard, and showed off her playful, energetic side before eventually settling down to rest on the cool tile. She was affectionate and came over for pets while her person worked at the computer. Sox may not be especially motivated by every kind of treat—she apparently has a particular fondness for biscuits—but she certainly is motivated by life! She’s an energetic, affectionate, curious young dog who enjoys being out and about and then knows how to settle when the adventure is over. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate companion with a big personality, a love of exploring, and a serious case of the wiggles, Sox may be your girl.
