Soup's Story
Soup is a 1-year-old, 5-pound Chihuahua/Toy Fox Terrier mix who was found as a stray in New Mexico. The shelter was a scary place for such a tiny guy, and while he’s understandably timid at first, all Soup truly wants is a safe place to land and a human who will meet him with patience, kindness, and consistency.

Right now, Soup is a cautious little soul who’s still learning that the world can be a gentle place. He may take some time to warm up, but we have absolutely no doubts about his ability to bloom in the right environment. With love, structure, and positive experiences, we expect his confidence to grow and his personality to shine through.

We feel very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity to succeed through formal, positive reinforcement–based training, and Soup is no exception. For this reason, we will only consider adopters who are committed to enrolling him in force-free, reward-based training classes to help him build confidence and trust at his own pace. Farfel’s Farm & Rescue is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person positive reinforcement trainers in your area.

Soup may be small, but his heart is big — and he’s ready to give it to someone who will help him feel safe, seen, and loved.

Soup will be up to date on his vetting / vaccinations . He will also be neutered before arriving to CO on 2/25/26.

Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit.

PLEASE NOTE If you're truly interested in adopting Soup, please be sure to submit our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
