Age: 8 years Weight: 28lbs Sophia is an absolute angel. She’s a little shy at first, but she opens up more every day. Sophia happily greets us at the door with a wagging tail and a sweet smile, always excited to see her people. She’s truly a classy lady, fully house-trained and accident-free with us. When it’s time to go out, she does her business within minutes and is ready to enjoy her walk. Sophia loves to stop and smell the roses, taking in her surroundings at an easy, relaxed pace. She’s calm, gentle, and enjoys saying hello to everyone she passes, especially children. Sophia was rescued in Texas and is currently living in a foster home with four dogs and one cat and has been a very respectful guest. She gets along beautifully with all of them and will happily cuddle up with one of our resident dogs when the mood strikes. She’s up for whatever you’re up for - if it’s a walk, she’s ready! If it’s a movie marathon on the couch, she’s all in. Sophia loves breakfast and dinner time and has recently discovered a love for pup cups. If you’re looking for a brown-eyed beauty who loves to chill, cuddle, and relax with her humans, Sophia is your girl. True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy

First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
