Sophia's Story

Meet Sophia! šŸ’›
Sophia may share her name with one of the Golden Girls, but this little lady is the baby of the group! She was the smallest and sweetest of her litter of four and has been an incredibly gentle, affectionate, and adorable puppy from the very beginning.
Sophia is curious and loves watching her big sister, Rose, to learn what is happening around her. Because Sophia cannot hear, she relies on visual cues and follows Rose's lead beautifully. She keeps up with her sister's adventures and never wants to miss out on the fun!
Her hearing loss also makes her a wonderfully quiet houseguest and an excellent sleeper. Sophia loves being cuddled and will happily let you rock her to sleep after a busy day of exploring.
She does great with dogs, cats, and children. Sophia would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help her navigate the world and provide cues when she cannot hear what is happening.
Sophia's ideal family will be patient, loving, and willing to help her learn through hand signals, routines, and positive reinforcement. In return, she will bring endless sweetness, cuddles, and quiet companionship to her forever home.

To apply to have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport, please visit our website at https://longwayhome.org/adopt.

ā¤
Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.
