Sonny (The Groovy Duo)'s Story

Meet Sonny!

Sonny is an adorable young Plott Hound mix puppy with a heart of gold and just enough mischief to keep life interesting.

Unlike his sister Cher, Sonny isn't necessarily the one *planning* the crimes-he's just highly susceptible to peer pressure. If his sister has a questionable idea, Sonny is usually willing to tag along and see how it plays out.

Overall, though, Sonny is a **sweet, mild-mannered, easygoing little guy.** He loves other dogs and especially enjoys running and playing chase with his foster brothers. If somebody takes off running, you can pretty much guarantee Sonny won't be far behind.

He does share his sister's complicated relationship with baby gates. Given enough time, he'll happily figure out a way around one. He's not quite as committed to the escape-artist lifestyle as Cher, but he's definitely willing to serve as her accomplice.

One of Sonny's best qualities? **He's an absolute dream in the kennel.** He settles quietly and easily, and while he's still a playful puppy, he has a naturally softer, calmer personality. He's much more likely to hang out at your feet than spend his evening trying to turn your hands into chew toys.

Sonny is still a puppy, so he'll need continued help with all the usual puppy basics-potty training, leash skills, manners, socialization, and learning which of his sister's ideas should probably be ignored.

His breed mix is our best guess, and we can't promise exactly what he'll look like when he's grown. What we *can* tell you is that Sonny is a wonderfully sweet little guy who can happily join in the chaos and then curl up at your feet when the excitement is over.

If you're looking for an affectionate, playful puppy with an easygoing personality-and you don't mind the occasional bad decision made under the influence of friends-Sonny might be your guy!

Rebel Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
At Rebel Animal Rescue, we believe in keeping adoption as simple and welcoming as possible. Instead of strict, one-size-fits-all requirements, we focus on open conversations with potential adopters. We want to learn about your home, lifestyle, and any challenges you might face, and work together on solutions that set you and your new pet up for success. The adoption process starts with a short application, which we review to make sure the match could be a good fit. From there, we arrange a meet-and-greet with your entire family—and for dog adoptions, your resident dogs too. If everyone feels good about the match, we encourage a one-week trial period. This gives you time to see how your new pet settles in. At the end of the week, we’ll finalize the adoption if it’s working out—or welcome the animal back if it’s not the right fit. Our goal is to find loving, lasting homes while keeping the process as stress-free as possible for both you and the animal.
