Sonam's Story

Looking for a dog with personality *and* a built-in excuse to skip awkward social gatherings? Meet Sonam--a charming fixer-upper with four paws and a fluffy tail. He's a one-of-a-kind project pup, perfect for a home without other pets or a constant parade of guests. Think of him as your personal introvert buddy--he's here to ensure your weekends are cozy, quiet, and stress-free.
Now, let's talk about the perks. Once Sonam knows you, he's the ultimate cuddle bug. This little guy has mastered the art of snuggling so well, he could write a guidebook. Movie nights? He's there. Rainy days on the couch? He's got your back. He'll stick to you like velcro, making you wonder how you ever lived without him.
But--and here's the twist--Sonam has some *boundaries*. If you're not part of his inner circle, he's not shy about letting you know you're in his bubble. He might bark, grumble, or give you a "back off" glare, but hey, everyone's got their quirks, right? With time, patience, and a little understanding, Sonam could learn to trust new people and realize the world isn't such a scary place.
In the meantime, think of him as your four-legged gatekeeper. Not a fan of surprise visits? Sonam's got it covered. Tired of being the host with the most? Sonam says, "No problem, I've got this." He's your perfect excuse to avoid that dreaded neighborhood potluck or the awkward coworker who "just happened to be in the area."
If you're looking for a snuggly, sassy sidekick who will love you fiercely and help you reclaim your personal space, Sonam might just be the pup for you. All he asks is a little patience, a lot of love, and a home where he can feel safe and secure. Bonus points if you prefer quiet nights over loud parties--you and Sonam are about to become best friends!
You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

The Noah Project's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process follows a walk-in first-come, first-served policy with no appointment needed and a completed & approved adoption application. We encourage adopters to get to know dogs they are interested in outside of the kennel and choose dogs based on personality and being a good fit with their family and their lifestyle. Once you meet an animal you wish to adopt, we'll sit down for an informational consultation to ensure that you and the pet you've selected are a good match. During this process we'll also review the animal's medical and behavioral records, explain policies and services available to adopters, and help you choose the right pet supplies. Please complete an application only if you meet all the requirements for a specific pet or list the type of pet you are interested in. Applications can either be brought into Noah Project in person or emailed to info@noahprojectmuskegon.org. This form is quite detailed and will provide us with the information necessary to adopt. We will begin processing your application as soon as possible. Important steps in the process will include contacting your veterinarian, personal references, and landlords. Approved applications will be kept on file for up to 90 days.
