Solei's Story
Solei is a beautiful sensitive pup. She is white with tan spots. She was born with slightly deformed back feet, so walks with a limp if on a gravel surface but otherwise gets around fine on most hard surfaces. Although she doesn't really have major special needs, we marked her ad as such to attract an adopter willing to adopt a less than perfect dog. She is extremely affectionate and playful with people and dogs she knows but can be leery of strangers peering in her cage. She'll stand back and sometimes bark while her sister, Solo, will go up to the gate.

She and Solo, who is white with a brown patch over her eye, came to the shelter as strays on 2/6/23 at the age of 6 months. Solei weighed 45 lbs. at that time and is heavier than Solo, who weighed 35 lbs. upon arrival. Both have been wormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworms and tick and bloodborne illnesses (tested negative for all), as well as spayed. Most of these photos were updated 6/30/23 when Solei was 11 months old, but the last one showing the pair was taken 12/18/24. Due to Solei being shy with strangers, having a minor birth defect and needing to be adopted as a pair with her sister since they are bonded, this has led to them getting stuck at the shelter with an adopter for a long time.

Call (434) 374-8076 or email lakecountryspca@yahoo.com.
