These 12 week old Akita/Husky mixes and are officially ready for adoption. Sokka (23.4 lbs) and Korra (21.2 lbs) are gaining confidence every day and would do best in homes with a confident canine companion (they will not be adopted together). They are doing well with crate training but are still working through accidents when out of the crate. Both absolutely love being outside and but are not fans of cold weather! We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
