Sokka's Story

🐾 Hi, I'm Sokka! 🐾

I'm a 2-year-old Shiba Inu, and if you ask me, I'm a certified Good Boy -- I even have the diploma to prove it! I'm proud of who I am: smart, curious, spirited, and always ready to learn something new.

I've spent time in a foster home recently, and we're learning even more about what helps me thrive. I love mental stimulation and being part of whatever's going on. But when I get bored or left alone without enough to do, I may entertain myself by chewing things, exploring garbage, or finding other "creative" outlets. I've done fine alone for a couple hours when the house is picked up and there's a little background noise, but I'll need a family that's home often and committed to keeping my mind active -- even when they're not in the room.

Because I'm a Shiba through and through, once I'm comfortable in a home, I can be protective of things I find valuable (like food or treats). For that reason, I'll do best as the only pet in an adult-only home where I don't feel the need to guard anything. No cats for me, either -- I grew up with them but ultimately couldn't live safely with them.

What I do excel with is consistency, structure, and routine. I'm independent but loyal, occasionally cheeky but incredibly bright. With clear expectations and lots of enrichment, I shine. I'm also house-trained, love being involved, and am known to be an excellent bed-snuggler.

If you're looking for a smart, devoted, slightly mischievous companion who will be your shadow and your project all in one, I might just be your guy. ❤️

🎓 Come meet me and see why I'm a certified Good Boy!
If you are interested in learning more or would like to set up a meet-and-greet please fill out an adoption application on our website: www.hsbcpets.com/adopt
