Sofia's tests are showing she has an adrenal gland tumor. We're supporting her holistically and will probably be looking for a permanent foster home for her. She is so sweet and deserves a soft place to land. Sofia is a beautiful, friendly senior (8-10 yrs) German Shepherd girl. Smart, mellow, and sociable, she will make a wonderful companion. She gets along well with other dogs and loves people. When Sofia was rescued, she was in a very malnourished state and is still underweight at just 58 pounds. It's clear she had a home at one time, as she was spayed when rescued. She deserves a second chance to live the life she was meant to live -- as a loving, loyal member of the family. She had an ultrasound and some initial tests for Cushings. Her bloodwork looks good, X-rays good, but she has does have an adrenal gland tumor.
