Soapy's Story

Soapy has been waiting almost a year for a forever home.

Soapy came to us with a group of other bully dogs after a breeding ring was finally shut down. Animal control stepped in after witnessing the neglect and cruelty these dogs endured. What she went through wasn't fair-and because of it, Soapy needs to be the only pet in her home.

But here's the part people need to hear:

Soapy is incredible with people.
She especially loves kids.
She's almost 5 years old, a perfect 38 lbs, and the kind of dog who just wants to be close to her humans.

Soapy has a special condition called a heart murmur-we like to say her heart is just a little extra special. She takes daily medication and is regularly monitored by her vet to make sure she's living her very best life. Please don't let that scare you away. This condition doesn't define her-it just means she deserves someone willing to love her a little louder.

She still has so much love to give.
She still deserves a couch, a family, and a place that's truly hers.

Let's not let Soapy spend an entire year in foster care. As much as she loves her foster family-and they love her-every dog deserves a home of their own.
