Snowball's Story

This is Snowball. He loves people-every new face feels like a new friend he haven't met yet. He is such a sweet boy, and he was a great dog date on his trip to Caughlin Ranch! He is very friendly, and wanted to stop and say hi to everybody he met. Very quiet, and didn't bark at anybody.

Snowball is just a very energetic dog who needs space to run around and play. He would love to be an only pup and have his person all to himself. Being with other dogs can make him feel overwhelmed or frustrated so dog parks aren't really his thing. Too many personalities, too much chaos and may interrupt his sunbathing time. He's happiest when it's just Snowball and his humans, doing our own thing.

He has tons of energy and sometimes he bounces before he thinks but is eager to learn and be the best boy. If you are the active sort who can keep me busy with fetch (mind and body) come meet me today! Our staff loves his sunny personality and permanent pout and you will too.

Nevada Humane Society's Adoption Policy
So, you’re ready to adopt – wonderful! We are so glad you have decided to become a pet parent. You probably have some questions, naturally. Here are a few things to keep in mind to help you prepare for the big day. Helpful Things to Know Age Requirement: Adopters must be at least 18 years old, and have a current photo ID. Adoption Fees: Adoption prices vary depending on several factors. Pets age 8+ are always fee-waived. Pets come vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered! Dogs in the Home: If there are other dogs in your home, we do not necessarily require the resident dog to meet the adopted dog. However, in some cases, there are dogs available for adoption who must meet resident dogs in the home. If you’d like your dog to meet its possible new sibling, they may do so once the adopter meet-and-greet is completed. Small Animals in the Home: Other small pets in your home (cats, rabbits, etc.) are not permitted to meet prior to adoption. Placing A Pet on Hold: If you meet a pet and it’s love at first lick, but you are unable to adopt them immediately, we allow a 24-hour hold. The cost is $25 and you must first meet the pet, and ensure it is a good fit! Discounts: We offer a military discount for active duty and veterans who've served. Please ask your adoption counselor for more details!
