Snow's Story

COURTESY POST- SNOW Snow is an adorable almost 3 year old, 42 pound pup from PG shelter. She was a stray there and would thrive in a home with someone who has experience with deaf dogs and knowledge of training them or be able to work with a trainer for this special need. Snow is eager to please, loves to cuddle, play chase and run after toys. She is a very happy and sweet dog, and has overcome some anxieties in the last few months, likely caused by her deafness. She is smaller in size, 40+ pounds and medically healthy. Currently lives with a young child under 12, and a female dog. She does not currently live with cats and would need to be tested. In current home, Snow graduated from using crate at night to sleeping with owners. There are people home frequently. When she uses her crate, she likes the security of a blanket put on top of it. Training is an ongoing process and the main behavior Snow is still working on is getting very excited on leash when she notices other dogs. This reactivity can be decreased with continued training and an experienced handler. She currently lives with a female dog in her home whom she enjoys playing with. To meet Snow, please contact us at 410-205-9340 or info@aaha-rescue.org

***Disclaimer*** Unfortunately, there are not enough rooms at the inn to admit every dog that needs a furever home. But, we still want to help those dogs (and cats) on their journey! By courtesy posting, AAHA is offering our website/network as an additional resource to help an owner or shelter gain additional exposure for the dog they are trying to place. AAHA has not met nor evaluated the dog (or cat) we are courtesy posting. AAHA makes no representation about courtesy posted pets including the health and temperament and accepts no liability in this exchange. Arrangements for adoptions are made between the caretaker of the pet and the potential adopter.
