Snow's Story

Hi, my name is SNOW! I'm a beautiful Siberian Husky mix who is just 1 year old. I'm fully grown at 37 pounds which makes me a great size for people looking for a smaller Husky. You can see my stunning white coat and beautiful blue eyes in my photos but my personality is my best feature. I'm a very sweet girl who loves to play with other dogs and everyone I meet. I'm very well behaved, super smart and not vocal which is just another reason to love me! I am a very special girl and have everything going for me...all I need is a great family to adopt me and love me forever. I'm healthy, up to date on my vaccinations and house-trained. I think I'm going to be very popular so reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get lots more info on me today!

Long Road Home's Adoption Policy
Where do we get our dogs? Majority of our dogs come from high kill shelters. Some are owner surrender or strays. All of the dogs that come into our rescue have been in high emergency situations where they would not be wagging their tails. We work with a lot of shelters in the south as well as on long island. We have wonderful people who dedicate their time to the dogs and transport them into our long island foster homes.   What happens to the dog after we accept it into the program? All of the dogs first go to see a vet. Once they receive a clean bill of health the go into a home. We normally give each dog at least a week in a home with qualified trainer before we place the dog into a foster. We really like to have the dogs house broken and to have at least started basic obedience training. After the trainer we place the dog into its new foster home until it finds its forever home.
