Snoopy's Story

Snoopy: Part Beagle? Part Heeler? Part Mystery Machine. 100% Good Boy.

Ladies and gentlemen, scientists, and people who watch way too much Animal Planet... we'd like to introduce **Snoopy**.

We have absolutely no idea what he is.

He has heeler freckles, a hound bark, beagle vibes, and enough mixed-breed charisma to keep a DNA lab entertained for weeks. If you've ever wanted to own a canine plot twist, this is your guy. Whoever adopts him owes the world a DNA test because we all need answers.

At around **4 to 5 years old** and **40 pounds**, Snoopy is the perfect "just-right" size. Big enough for adventures. Small enough that he won't accidentally become your weighted blanket.

Right now, shelter life has him feeling a little overwhelmed. Imagine being dropped into a loud hotel where nobody explains the rules. We'd be stressed too. Despite that, Snoopy remains an absolute sweetheart who is simply dreaming of a couch, a family, and someone who thinks talking to their dog is a perfectly normal hobby.

Here's what we know:

* Potty trained (because nobody likes surprise puddles.)
* Walks beautifully on a leash.
* Doesn't seem bothered by other animals, though a meet-and-greet is required if you already have a dog.
* Would probably love a home where someone is around much of the time because being part of the family is kind of his thing.

If you're looking for a dog that's part detective, part comedian, part cuddle buddy, and entirely lovable, Snoopy is ready to clock out of shelter life forever.

Come meet him. Bring treats. Maybe bring a DNA kit.

He's waiting to write the next chapter of his story... preferably on your couch.

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.

The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
