Snoop Dog's Story

Snoop Dog is a beautiful boy who is smart, funny, and eager to please. Here's the thing: like many dogs who have grown up in a rescue/shelter environment, Snoop Dog is cautious. He wants to love, to give his whole heart to someone, but first he needs to know that that person is safe. He has spent his whole life unsure of who he can trust. Up to this point, security has only been a dream for him. During his past two months at Helping Hounds, staff and volunteers have worked with him to show him that most people are good, and honest, and worthy of his love. He may take some time to warm up to you. He may need a few extra minutes, or hours, days or weeks to feel truly comfortable. We can assure you that the wait will be worth it. Once Snoop comes out of his shell, he is the most loving, snuggly, playful boy. He leans in for pets and happily accepts treats from your hand. He loves to run and play with other dogs, and would definitely benefit from a home with a confident dog to show him the ropes. Snoop Dog loves everyone with time, but would do better in a home with older children who can respect his boundaries and take things at his own pace. He is crate trained and almost fully house-trained, which we're sure will come easy to him once he's settled into a home and routine. Snoop Dog deserves a person or family who can meet him where he is. With patience, kindness, and lots of treats and snuggles, Snoop Dog will be the most amazing member of your family. He just needs someone to take a chance on him! Please submit an application at http://helpinghoundsdogrescue.org A processed application is required to visit the rescue.
