Snoop's Story

Meet Snoop. He was surrendered by owners who, through no fault of their own, weren't equipped to meet his needs. Snoop is a handsome 2-year-old Doberman with a heart of gold looking for a place to land that can provide the love, attention, and secure environment he deserves.

Despite some past challenges, Snoop is a relatively well-behaved and incredibly sweet dog. He has a proven track record of getting along famously with small dogs, cats, and even chickens, making him a wonderful candidate for a multi-pet household. He's also a superstar with kids, having lived with several small children and showing great patience and affection. While his interactions with other large dogs are unknown, his gentle nature suggests he may do well with proper introductions.

Snoop enjoys walks on a leash, though he can be a bit of a puller – nothing a little consistent training can't help! His previous living situation primarily kept him outdoors with limited attention and exercise, which led to some nuisance behaviors like escaping and excessive barking when left alone outside. The good news is that his escapes were due to a short, 4-foot fence, and it's unclear if he would attempt to jump a higher, more secure fence. He also doesn't bark indoors, suggesting his outdoor barking was a result of boredom and loneliness.

Snoop's ideal home will have a securely fenced yard (preferably over 4 feet tall) and committed owners who can provide him with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship. He thrives on attention and would blossom in an environment where he's an integral part of the family, not just an outdoor dog.

We're unsure about his crate training status, but his intelligence and desire to please suggest he'd pick it up quickly with positive reinforcement. Snoop is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. He is currently being fostered in Seattle.
