Snocone's Story

Born 10/24/23, this sweet hound mix has come a long way and is ready to find the right forever home. Snocone is a loving girl with a sensitive soul—she can be anxious, especially when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her gentle and affectionate personality shines through.
Snocone is looking for a patient forever home, willing to give her the time and space to settle in and trust. She requires a confident resident dog to help guide her and a securely fenced yard where she can feel comfortable exploring. A quieter home without children will also help set her up for success.
If you’re willing to go slow and let love grow, Snocone will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and companionship. 💕

SnoCone was adopted into a loving home for about 1 1/2 years. Due to family changes, she was returned to rescue.

Snocone is a hound mix born 10/24/23. She is a very sweet girl who came to rescue from an overcrowded shelter in Missouri and was not desired due to being nervous and timid. Their miss, our win. She was clearly misunderstood due to being scared, and lacked the attention and work she desperately wanted and needed. Snocone has a very playful spirit and just requires some work and lots of reassurance that being a dog is awesome, humans are safe, and outdoors are fun!!!

She is doing great decompressing and learning how awesome it should be to be a dog! Snocone thrives and really comes out of her shell with the other dogs in the foster home, so she will require a pretty confident dog in her forever home to help continue showing her the way. She needs a patient, and very loving family. Due to Snocone’s nervousness, we wouldn’t recommend her living with small children while she continues to learn and adjust.

Requirements:
Fenced yard. Another dog. No living with small children.

Please visit www.handsheartspaws.org for an adoption application

All of our dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, heartworm tested, and they are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative.

The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home visit, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for this dog is $350___.

We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs DO REQUIRE a fence. Decide what is best for each dog), we do REQUIRE a means of safe outside containment. We do NOT adopt to homes that use invisible fencing. Invisible fencing is NOT a safe means of outside containment.

We are willing to adopt out-of-state, contingent on our ability to complete a home visit, but you must travel to Omaha to complete the adoption. We do not transport or ship our dogs.
