Snickers's Story

Snickers is one of the funniest sweetest dogs you'll ever meet! From the way she prances around the yard and runs to you like she's not seen you in years. To even the way she will crawl up your body so you can give her a hug and she can give you some not-so-gentle but VERY loving head bonks.

This special pup is looking for an equally special home. Snickers came to us originally with the belief that she was blind but after a look by our medical department it's been determined that she can see some things. Along with being partially blind, she was born much later than her siblings. This birthing complication means she can come across much more like a puppy then an adult dog.

Snickers doesn't know that she's a little different, she's going to need a home that can be patient and consistent with her training and care. Here at the shelter she is learning that she doesn't need to use her mouth to explore the world and learning different cues mean to "go easy." Snickers would do best with a home without other pets, as she doesn't always pick up on what they are trying to tell her and she can come across as rude to other dogs. She would also do best in a home without young children due to her mouthiness.
