Snickers's Story

Snickers is a very affectionate lap dog. She is gentle with kids of all ages, and is especially snuggly with and comfortable with folks who approach her calmly. She is happy to sit on your lap, beside you on the couch, or at your feet while you work at your desk. She is healthy, has a hearty appetite, is a good weight, and is probably pretty fast and agile when she needs to be, but her preference is for quiet hanging out at home. On outings (for example, the vet or on family trips) she rides well in a car crate, and is calm and friendly when getting procedures done.

Because her vision is greatly impaired, she gets nervous when confined, when around loud and/or unfamiliar dogs, or when she has no idea where her favorite people are. We have left her alone during work hours during the week with no problem (she has her favorite spot on the couch), but it is possible that she may display separation anxiety until she is used to your routine. She would be happiest as the only dog in the house. We don't know how she'd do around cats.

We could talk to you all day about what a delight Snickers is, but really, the best way to get to know her is to come and meet her! Stop by the AARF adoption fair on Saturdays for your chance to meet this one-of-a-kind pooch!
