Hi, I'm Snickerdoodle, a beautiful young Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix looking for someone very special to call my own. I'm a sweet girl, but I'm quite shy--especially right now--and I need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time.<br/><br/>We suspect I may have experienced some trauma or been mistreated in my past, so new people and new situations can feel overwhelming. I'll need time to decompress, settle in and learn that I'm finally safe. My adopter will need to be patient, gentle and consistent, allowing me to build confidence at my own pace rather than expecting me to be a social butterfly right away.<br/><br/>I'm also a Malinois/German Shepherd mix, which means I'm going to grow into an intelligent, energetic dog who will need plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, training and structure. I'll need an adopter who is ready to put in the time and effort to help me become the best version of myself.<br/><br/>I may need a little extra patience and understanding, but underneath my shyness is a young puppy who deserves the chance to feel safe, loved and cherished.
