Snapdragon is a 12-pound Chihuahua mix with a gentle spirit and the sweetest little heart. This sensitive girl is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place, and she's looking for a home that will give her the time and patience she needs to truly blossom.<br/><br/>Snapdragon can be shy when meeting new people and may need a little time to decompress in a new environment. She's especially cautious around men at first, but with a calm approach and a little patience, she does warm up. Once she feels safe, her personality really begins to shine.<br/><br/>And when it does... she is pure love. 💛<br/><br/>Snapdragon has recently started to come out of her shell in foster care and is showing just how affectionate and playful she can be. She's a total cuddle bug who loves being close to her person, whether that's snuggling on the couch or sharing quiet moments together. She also has a fun, playful side and enjoys her toys and playtime.<br/><br/>She does well with other dogs and has shown she can coexist with cats--she may chase a little at times, but she's also been known to curl up and relax with them. Like many sensitive dogs, she'll benefit from continued guidance and a calm, structured environment.<br/><br/>Snapdragon is crate trained and settles nicely when left alone, often sleeping soundly in her crate. She's also potty trained and responsive to simple guidance like "no." She prefers to eat on her own, as mealtime excitement from other dogs can make her a bit uneasy.<br/><br/>With a moderate activity level, Snapdragon would do best in a quieter home that understands shy dogs and is willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. Watching her grow into a confident, happy companion will be incredibly rewarding.<br/><br/>If you have a gentle home and a big heart for a shy little dog, Snapdragon just might be your perfect match.<br/><br/>Before adoption, all Boxers and Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped. All dogs are fostered in a foster home where they are treated like family - practicing socialization skills.<br/><br/>Our adoption process:<br/>Once an application is submitted, our adoption team will contact you within 24 hours. After an interview and home check, a meet and greet will be scheduled.
