Smores's Story
My name is S'mores. I am about 10 months old and 55 lbs. My poundage doesn't translate to the way I look! You will be surprised, I am not that big! I am also all filled out. I am a gorgeous almost painted brindle. My breed mix? Ridgeback? Cur? Hound? Terrier? We aren't totally sure but I am a handsome man. I am a very sweet and gentle dog. My most favorite thing in the world? Kids. Just like my brother Red, who was adopted recently, kiddos just make me feel good. I am the most trusting of the smaller humans at first. In my first foster home, I lived with young children and was very attached to them. In my NJ foster home, I also love my older kids. I am great with dogs too. I actually would prefer that my next home have a dog buddy in it. It's not that I don't adore my humans but the other canine will give me a little confidence to continue to learn about how good life can be! I can be hesitant with new sounds and sights. If I see a trash truck on a walk, I might be a little concerned but we have found that my dog friends keep me moving! I am housebroken and crate trained; although, I have basically aged out of the crate. I will need a patient family that is willing to let me go at my own pace and provide positivity and love on the way. A fenced in yard is required; I love to romp and run in my secured area. My leash walking is good; when I see something that gives me pause - that's when my dog buddy jumps in to let me know the walk can proceed! When you meet me, you will fall in love. I am located in NJ. Here is a link to the application if you are interested in me! https://www.zivadogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs
