He is very easy and pleasant to walk on leash. He's not reactive to other dogs when on leash, and enjoys meeting (most of) them. He's house trained and very treat motivated to learn. In just a few days in foster he has been learning Place and Touch and Stay. Smokey needs to be the only dog in a home. He does not fully understand dog social skills and he lacks impulse control. When Smokey is over-stimulated he gets mouthy, chomping down on things other than chew toys (a pillow, a shoe, your arm). He is easily redirected but because of this tendency he needs a home with experienced dog owners and no small children. - house and crate trained - quiet (not a barker) - walks well on leash - attentive to handler - loves to learn and is food motivated - needs to be only pet in home - needs experienced owners willing to give Smokey further training in social skills - no small children - dog friendly, enjoys plying rough or just hanging around other dogs - not food aggressive - learns new commands fast - needs training attention due to puppy energy - listens well to strict commands - has a lot of energy - would be a great jogging partner - does great in a crate for hours if needed - does well in different setting (breweries, event settings) - does great listening to darker tone of voice by men
