Smiley Wiley's Story

Meet Smiley Wiley 🐾
4 years old | Gentle soul | Looking for his second forever

Smiley Wiley recently found his way back to rescue after two years in a home—not because he did anything wrong, but because life changed around him. As the kids in his home got older and the household became louder and more chaotic, Smiley struggled to feel safe. When things got rambunctious, he’d quietly retreat to mom’s bedroom, hoping for a little peace.

Smiley is a very timid, sensitive boy who thrives in calm, predictable environments. He does have some separation anxiety, which we are now addressing with the help of medication and structure, and he’s already showing that he just needs patience and reassurance to settle in.

Despite his shyness, Smiley is friendly with other dogs and has done well with kids—though we strongly recommend a home with older, calmer children who can respect his need for space and quiet. What’s most important to know is this: Smiley does not have one ounce of aggression in him. He is gentle, soft, and deeply sweet—just a little unsure of the world right now.

Smiley Wiley is looking for a home that will move at his pace, celebrate the small wins, and give him the safety and stability he deserves. In the right environment, this tender-hearted boy will absolutely blossom again.

If you believe in second chances and have room in your heart (and home) for a shy dog with a big soul, Smiley Wiley might just be your perfect match. 💙
Adoption app: https://forms.gle/hgeqBb9BYt6DeTUt8
