Slink's Story
Sex: Male

Breed: German Shepherd x

Estimated Date of Birth : 09/20/2023

With his large lanky body this boy has the perfect name. Meet Slink! He's ready to slink his way right into your heart. This boy LOVES his people! All people for that matter and this makes him the perfect candidate for our Pawsitive Change prison program. He's super motivated by love and affection and really just wants to be where all the people are. He totally enjoys all his canine buddies too. Just a happy happy boy with loads of enthusiasm for life. Now he'll get the training he needs to help him find him a family who will give him the life he deserves.

Slink was originally picked up as a stray by our county shelter. Found in the rural area of Arvin, a small agricultural area of Kern County, this young boy has never known home life. Always "just a dog" his family never looked for him when he didn't come home. Like so many other medium and large breed dogs he lingered in the shelter environment for over a month. That's a long time to have no interest and put him directly at risk of euthanasia. Lucky for him we noticed his happy nature and gave him the break he was waiting for.

Our trainers at North Kern State prison are happy to have Slink join them. Slink is happy to be wanted and even happier with all the attention. During his program stay PC trainers are working on his basic obedience skills and getting him ready to begin looking for a home. Slinks perfect home environment would include a family committed to continuing his training and giving him a good balance of both physical and mental stimulation. He'd love another fun pup to pal around with and is ready to join you on each and every one of life's amazing adventures! If you're looking for an enthusiastic partner Slink is definite the one for you!
