Slingshot

Slingshot is about 7-8 months old and such a sweetie. His definately is a Bull Terrier mix, just look at those ears. Just like Spuds Mckenzie.<br><br><br/>Slingshot got his name because he has a white slingshot on his head. We will get some better pictures on line by 9-17.<br><bR>We hope that Slingshot has a better ending than his beginning. He was transferred his way up from Southern Illinois, a long 5 hours drive in a crate, to a no kill shelter in Woodstock. When he got here they said that they didnt want him because he was a pit bull. Well he is definately a Bull Terrier mix but not a pit bull. Anyway they left him sitting in the crate while they just stared at him, willing him to go away. Finally our President who happened to have stopped by got mad and after a few very choice words on what the definition of humane is rescued Slingshot from his supposed rescuers.<br><bR>Slingshot is such a happy go lucky puppy and thinks he is a big boy. While driving to our Presidents home he saw his first long-horn bull and barked at him through the window.<br><bR><br/>Slingshot gets along fine with other dogs and really pays no attention to cats. He is limping a little on his back left leg and x-rays show that he has an old injury to his growth plate. The vet has told us to keep him from jumping up. Well that is turning out to be futile.<br><br>Slingshot definately needs some puppy classes. While he would do fine with any age children he gets very excited and might knock young children over to lick their faces.<br><bR> We are in no rush to see him leave. If you feel that you have the time and patience to work with this little man please give us a call. You will not be disappointed.<br><br>Slingshot knows how to sit but he is a wiggler. He is also doing very well on his housebreaking.
