Slim (Shady)

Meet Slim! Named for his tiny frame, he's anything but small when it comes to letting you know he's in the room. This goober likes to talk! He can be a little shy and awkward meeting strangers, especially men. Due to this his dream companion is primarily a woman, but he can learn to tolerate a man in the house too. He loves to be in your lap or following you around as you move about the house. He does well around other dogs as he loves to weave through their legs. He's almost fearless of other dogs until he is scared and then he will definitely let you know. He will either need frequent potty breaks or a belly band while he is inside as he's not fully house trained. At 6 years old it will be harder to train him but we are optimistic that his neuter (procedure done before his adoption) will help with this problem. He also has dental work scheduled 04/2023 as he has some weak teeth that we suspect are causing him some discomfort when he eats. We are hopeful that after that happens he can eat more and put on some more weight.
