He arrived in rescue after being surrendered to a shelter when his owner could no longer keep him. He is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection and will be available for adoption once that treatment is complete.<br/><br/>Sleepy gets along very well with other dogs. He loves his crate and spends the majority of the day “sleeping”. <br/><br/>He is great outside on and off leash, stays right by your side unless you allow him to run off and play and has impeccable recall. He shows no desire to chase cats or chickens and has about five minutes of energy before he is ready to go back to sleep. <br/><br/>He is very sensitive to (and scared of) the sound of a spray bottle or the sound a mop makes when you are wringing it, which leads us to believe that those things might have been used for training purposes. Adoption fees are NON NEGOTIABLE.<br/><br/>1.) All dogs are adopted to the best possible match and calling or emailing the rescue will not speed up the process or liken your chances of being chosen.<br/><br/>2.) You will be notified by adoption coordinator if your application is approved. Adoptions are set up by appointment only. We do not have “hours” of operation.<br/><br/>3.) If the dog is posted as Available on Petfinder, it is available but may have pending applications and meet and greets set up.<br/><br/>4.) If you are not ready to immediately meet the dog you are applying for, please do not apply- we are too busy for window shoppers! Every dog is available to be taken home with you at the time of the meet and greet.<br/><br/>5.) We recommend you bring a carrier with you to transport the dog home as some can get carsick. Adult dogs and most puppies over 6 months of age will require a slip lead.<br/><br/>6.)
