Meet Slate! This 8 month old Border Collie/Husky (maybe Shepherd) mix is one big, goofy kid who is ready to leave his shelter days behind and start having some fun!<br/><br/>Slate spent most of his young life in a not so great shelter in California, so he's still learning some of the basics and could use a little help with his manners. He walks pretty well on a leash but definitely has some room to improve. He also seems to be potty trained through the dog door!<br/><br/>At about 40 pounds, Slate is tall and slender and he hasn't quite figured out that he's not a tiny puppy anymore! He's super friendly, loves other dogs, and would probably do best with bigger kids who can handle his goofy, enthusiastic personality.<br/><br/>Slate is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and he's ready to find someone who will give him the guidance, exercise, and love he deserves.<br/><br/>This boy is going to be SO much fun! He has all the makings of an amazing camping, hiking, biking, adventure buddy or simply your favorite goofy companion.
