Slappy's Story

Slappy is a very good boy! He's about 2.5 years old, based on his teeth, and came to us from our neighbors at WAS, sadly, without a microchip or ID tag. He weighs 59 lbs, shows signs of housetraining, and is very friendly. He can be a bit cautious at first, but sit with him and let him sniff you, and he'll be giving you kisses in no time! We can't wait for you to visit him! ...

Kansas Humane Society of Wichita's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are available on a first come, first served basis - no appointment needed. Holds may be placed for a deposit by visiting KHS, or calling 316-524-9196. When you arrive at KHS, let our adoptions counselors know which animal(s) you'd like to meet in our visiting rooms or play yards. We encourage visits by all members of the household, especially kids and other dogs! *Must be 18 years of age or older (or accompanied by an adult) with a current photo ID. Must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for your adopted companion.
