Skyler's Story

Skyler is a young, playful pup bursting with energy and affection. He is a happy-go-lucky dog who will soak up all the love he can get. Clever and a little mischievous, he may run off with a sock if you leave it on the floor. He has perfected the downward dog stance with tail wag to let you know he wants to play. At just a year old, Skyler is eager to please, easy to redirect, and already walks beautifully on a leash. He is also good with chilling on the coach to watch a movie. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has a gentle playstyle which would make him a good fit for both big and medium dogs. We think Skyler is a Boxer/Husky mix but aren't sure. He currently weights 50lbs but may fill out a bit more. This joyful boy is ready to bring laughter and love to his forever family. Southpaw Rescue's Adoption Policy

1) Fill out an adoption application. On this application, you can let us know if you have a particular dog in mind, or if you would like for us to help you find the right match for your home. 2) Someone will contact you within one week to let you know the status of your application. Status can include: A) Moving on to a phone interview B) The dog has already been adopted C) The dog is not a right fit for your home 3) After a phone interview, we will set up a meet and greet. Everyone who lives in your home should be at this meet and greet. If you have any dogs in your home, they should come as well. We will introduce dogs on neutral territory. 4) Home Check. 5) IF you have made it this far and we feel you are a good fit for the dog, there is a $200 adoption fee. This fee includes wellness check, spay or neuter, routine vaccinations and a microchip.
