When Sky was taken in, she was outdoors, caked in filth, had an unhealthy coat, and badly needed dental and healthcare, including needing a mammary tumor the size of a baseball removed from her belly. With the generosity and partnership of Ohio animal rescue caregivers, including HSDC, Sky received the medical care and loving attention she deserves, and she is healing and thriving.<br/><br/>When this beautiful girl isn't modeling her lush coat of fur as it billows in the breeze, you can find her in your shadow. All Sky wants is to be near her favorite humans, and she's a calm, gentle, and endearing presence. Despite her age and past, Sky has plenty of energy to follow you on adventures or romp in the yard (wait til you see her adorable bounce!), but she'll also be happy to follow you to the couch where she'll snooze nearby. Sky stays nearby, obeys when called, and uses a crate overnight and when left alone. She loves treats and will endear herself to those who have them. Sky has also done well with young children, cats, and other dogs. This sweet girl is a dream, and she's seeking peaceful, loving companionship in her retirement age where she can bring joy to her humans and receive the affection she craves. Come meet Sky!
