Skittles's Story

Skittles is a 6-8-month-old spayed female beagle mix. We suspect it could be with Jack Russell or possibly a "greeder" was trying to make Beagladoodles... She has a wiry non-shedding coat which often occurs when you mix a flat-coated breed with a poodle.... Such as a Labradoodle has. This coat would be great for a person with mild pet allergies. She weighs a mere 23 lb and is a bit thin. I suspect she'll be a 30 lb dog, full grown and with good groceries. She's absolutely adorable, a little under socialized. Scared when she first meets you but warms up quickly and loves to snuggle in your lap and give kisses. We are seeking a home without small children because of her shyness. They could be a little too overwhelming for her . She likes to play with other dogs as long as they're not too forward and rambunctious. She's pretty scared of bigger dogs. All of this could be overcome with proper socialization. She knows "sit" and "come here" and she's comfortable sleeping in a crate so I think she was probably loved at some point.... She was picked up as a stray at large in in St. George, Utah running the streets and fending for herself out of garbage cans and dumpsters. Poor dear! Let's give her a big old North Idaho welcome and find her the perfect home!
