Skippy's Story
Skippy’s journey began in Mexico, where he was rescued from a canal during a storm. It was a frightening experience, and he’s still learning to trust, but his gentle spirit shines through. Estimated to be 2–3 years old, Skippy is ready for a fresh start with a patient, loving family.

He’s comfortable around children and has never shown aggression toward people. Skippy is accustomed to doing his business outdoors and has never soiled his crate. On leash, he’s still gaining confidence, so he’ll need guidance and reassurance as he learns.

When it comes to other dogs, Skippy isn’t a fan of small dogs. He gets along with some larger dogs but can display dominant behaviors, so he would thrive as the only dog in the household or with a carefully chosen canine companion.

What Skippy needs most is time, patience, and love. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, companionship, and the quiet joy of a dog who’s finally found his place.

He is 13kg, so a small-medium size.

Adoption fee: CAD $600/USD $540

Adoption process:

Our rescue is located near Bucerias Mexico. We use Petfinder to reach a greater audience for our dogs and adopt the majority of our dogs to the US and Canada due to the crisis of overpopulation in Mexico.

The first step is to submit an application on our website here: https://www.adogsnewlife.org/adopt

Once we receive your application, we will review it and may contact you for more information or to conduct a home check. If your application is approved, we collaborate with flight angels flying from Puerto Vallarta to destinations close to where the dog is posted as available. Adopters can meet these flight angels at the airport and take the pup home. (We can provide more detailed information about this process to adopters upon request.)

Please follow us on IG and FB. Please consider adopting as we have over 150 dogs and the shelter is full.
