Skippy German Shepherd Dog Mix Kensington, CA

In the wake of the devastating Palisades fires, Toni - A Wish For Animals Rescue, who tragically lost her home, is now seeking loving homes for her rescued dogs. One of these deserving dogs is Skippy, a 6-year-old spayed German Shepherd.
Skippy has had a difficult past. She was rescued from the shelter by a defunct rescue organization, Archie's Ark, who raised pledges and donations for her care. However, Archie's Ark irresponsibly abandoned Skippy at a boarding facility without paying, forcing the boarder to relinquish her back to the shelter. Thankfully, Toni stepped in and saved Skippy from this heartbreaking situation.
Skippy is a sweet girl, but she can be anxious and prefers calm environments and low-key canine companions. She has a unique quirk – she sometimes "chomps" in the air, a behavior whose cause is unknown. While not dog-aggressive, we recommend avoiding placements with small dogs or high-energy dogs until she can receive proper decompression and training.
With patience, understanding, and a calm and loving home, Skippy can blossom into a cherished companion.
