Skippy's Story

Meet Skippy! This adorable 4-year-old short-and-stout low-rider weighs around 60 pounds and has traveled all the way from a shelter in Kentucky in hopes of finding his forever family! With his sweet personality, love of people, and charming little build, Skippy is ready to make himself right at home.

Skippy is a social, people-loving boy who seems happiest when he's getting attention from his favorite humans. He already knows how to sit, and he's pretty tolerant of a nail trim-as long as you come prepared with tasty treats or, even better, a good rump scratch! Skippy knows what he likes, and honestly, we can't blame him.

We always recommend that all family members meet Skippy prior to adoption to make sure everyone is comfortable and feels like a great match. Given his friendly personality, he may be a wonderful fit for a home with children. With a proper introduction, Skippy may also be a great fit for a home with other dogs.

Waiting since August 11, 2026, Skippy is ready to put his shelter days behind him and start enjoying the good life with a family of his own. If you're looking for a sweet, social low-rider who will happily accept treats and scratches in exchange for his companionship, Skippy might just be your guy!

Skippy is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccines and preventatives, so he's ready to head home with his forever family. Come meet this lovable Kentucky boy and see if Skippy is the missing piece of your family!
