Skipper's Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas**

Meet Skipper!
If you are looking for a sporty and energetic dog to match your aesthetic, then look no further than our girl Skipper! Skipper originally came to the rescue a little over two years ago, making her one of our longer-term residents. She came in with trauma to her front leg, which has since been amputated. Over the past two years, Skipper has fully healed and is now showing us her little quirks and the best of her personality has fully developed with those she deems worthy.

Skipper is another one of our cute black and white pups, and as stated before, she is a tripod. Skipper’s favorite game is fetch, and when anyone is bored and needs a dog to entertain them, Skipper is their first choice. Skipper can play fetch for a long time and is definitely perfect for a baseball or softball fan. Once she’s tired, though, Skipper reveals her secret cuddly side and loves to relax close to her people.

Skipper is learning basic commands such as sit, down, and leave it. She needs more training on the leash(but is outstanding with a head halter in use!), but responds well to commands and treats to help redirect her pulling. Skipper is not good with other dogs or cats and would do best as the only pet in the home. Skipper may need some extra time to get to know you as well, but some treats and a ball should do the trick. Given the depth of betrayal she's endured by humans, it does take a bit for her to warm up to strangers, but once she does it's officially 'game on' and you'll be helpless to not throw the ball again and again for this stunner!

Skipper has done her part healing her leg and entertaining us with her sporty personality, but now she is looking for someone to relax at home with. Are you that someone?

***
Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org

Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org

The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.

Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis.

Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
