Skipper's Story
Skipper is a gorgeous brindle pittie girl, weighing 42 lb. Skipper came to us after having been struck by a local Good Samaritan's vehicle, who searched high and low for her owner and, ultimately, funded her surgery to repair her foot. Skipper is good as new, and has since been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is heartworm negative. Skipper is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. She loves being pet, cuddled, and going for car rides. She also enjoys chews, working for treats, and playing with her dog friends. Skipper has a bit of a prey drive, so a home without cats, pigs, or other "prey" animals is recommended. Skipper needs reminders to take treats gently/slowly, but has never shown food aggression towards her humans. She is certainly loves her food, though! Skipper is crate trained and a very quiet girl! She walks well on a leash and is a good listener. Skipper would do great in a home with older children. She doesn't have separation anxiety and would be content as an only dog. She does love doggie friends and would do well living with other dogs. We have noticed that she tends to prefer the company of male dogs or more submissive female dogs. Skipper's bright personality is easy to love, and she can't wait to find her forever family to delight and grow old with. Interested in learning more about Skipper?
