Skipper's Story

Meet Skipper! This handsome 4-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle is equal parts athlete and cuddle bug. He loves romping around with his canine friends, chasing balls, and carrying his favorite stuffed toys, but when the day is done, his favorite place to be is curled up on or beside his person's bed. Skipper is house trained, walks beautifully on a harness, and gets along wonderfully with both small and large dogs in the home. He may bark at unfamiliar dogs on walks and at visitors when they first arrive, but he quickly turns into a loving, affectionate companion once he has a chance to say hello. Because he has shown a strong interest in cats and has not spent much time around young children, a home without cats and with older, dog-savvy kids would be best. Skipper would thrive in an active home with plenty of room to run—ideally with another playful dog and a family ready to include this sweet, energetic boy in all of life's adventures. He requires a large fenced in yard to run and play in. He will be best matched in a home with another dog who wants to play and rough house or a home without other dogs. He can be too much energy for dogs who are not interested in playing. If you're interested in meeting him, apply at bcaaofnj.org
