Skeeter's Story
Hello humans! I’m Skeeter — a high-energy, people-loving goofball packed into a 35-pound Pit mix body. I’m about a year and a half old and very serious about having fun.

I’m attention-motivated (your focus = my favorite reward) and I LOVE people. I walk well on a leash, already know how to sit, and I’m always ready for action — whether that’s fetch, tug, zooming around the yard, or showing off my best playful antics. I’ve got hops, enthusiasm, and zero shame about using both to get you to play with me.

Because I’m young, bouncy, and still learning my manners, I need an active home with a securely fenced yard where I can safely burn off my energy. I also must go to a home without small children, since I tend to jump and nip/bite when I’m excited (I promise it’s all enthusiasm, not attitude!). A patient, dog-savvy family who’s ready to keep teaching me the ropes would be perfect for me.

I play great with other dogs and love a good rough-and-tumble chase session with my friends at the sanctuary. Under all that spunk, I’m a sweet, affectionate boy who just wants someone to love, laugh with, and play with every day.

If you’re looking for a fun, active companion who will keep life exciting and your heart full, I think I might be your guy. Submit an application — I can’t wait to meet you!

I am up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
The cost to adopt is $250 and the adoption process begins with an Adoption Application that is located at: www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt
Once your completed application has been reviewed the humans will contact you with questions and/or set an appointment for you to meet me. Thank you! Please read all guidelines before sending in an application. Do not reach out to the sanctuary about the status of your application, we will contact you if we are interested in setting up an appointment.
